What a lovely place to stay! Amidst the great location, this hostel is really really charming and inviting. The shared outdoor Tiki garden area is a great place to relax and meet other guests. I enjoyed hearing waves and bird life in the morning. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back here and send my friends.

Location is the only good thing. Don't expect parking even though it's "included". Reserved a mixed room, had to split up the first night because they only had rooms in all men's and all women's rooms when we arrived. Staff was not friendly or helpful but not rude. Manager seems to treat it as a place to keep his harem and at least one of his babies with a young girl 20 years has junior. (She literally asked him if they could get ice cream tomorrow). We dared cook bacon one morning and were confronted by an employee slamming doors because she's a vegetarian and "bacon stinks". It's not a clean place. Don't stay there.

The room was clean and secure. I don't think the bathroom should have one hand towel for that many people, bathroom dirty at night, hard to get in for shower.... Disposable would be best. Bathroom was cleaned daily. I use the outdoor bathroom and shower. Which were dirty. House rules are quiet times at 10 pm. Well, not when we stayed. People up talking and telling jokes in the kitchen until 11, then kids up screaming at 7 am. It says children not allowed but... There were 2 small kids there under 4 and I was expecting no kids (screaming bright and early and, in closer quarters you can hear everyone).

This hostel is a great option for travelers looking for adventure at an awesome price. The place is (mostly) surprisingly clean for being a tropical location with doors and windows open all the time. The staff is super friendly and the place is adorable. Plus, it’s right on the beach! With parking!! And the cats were a lovely surprise that really made my trip even better. That being said. The harsher reviews on here are fair, mostly. And the negative ones, I think, reflect people who didn’t read reviews/don’t know what a hostel is. I have been around the world staying in hostels and this was one of the best experiences, this one is great for younger travels (but all age friendly). If an amazing island paradise on the beach with cool friends for a great price - but with shared small rooms, bunk beds, flat pillows, and sometimes unintentionally disrespectful guests - doesn’t appeal to you - you should probably book a resort instead.

Where able to make last minute accommodation, friendly staff, and super great AC in the room. The highlight of our short trip at the hostel was the outdoor shower and the movie playing on the projector in the evening.

I wouldn't normally stay in a hostel (but Hawaii hotel prices...). I took a tent here and it was great, I slept well every night, staff were very friendly, and the location with access as it has to the beach was great. Attractive communal areas too.

Enjoyed my stay here and felt this hostel provides a unique experience. The beach is right outside and a good surf spot for beginners. I really liked how it feels outdoorsy and close to nature. My room is a simple partition but not enclosed, so I wake up to the birds chirping. There is a garden in the outdoor common spaces and several cats roaming around. The staff are super friendly and work hard to keep the place clean. I would give 5 stars if the bathrooms were a bit cleaner and had better ventilation. Otherwise I would still consider staying here again.

Amazing location right on the beach, very friendly staff who are always willing to help you out and give recommendations. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for letting me use your dryer! Will defintely stay again.
